I am a passionate angler and fly tyer, born in Madrid in 1976, where I currently reside at the age of 48. Since I began fishing and tying my own flies at the age of 14, this practice has evolved from a hobby into a way of life – a profound passion that has accompanied me through every stage of my journey.
I consider myself a curious and restless angler and fly tyer, always evolving and seeking new challenges. This mindset has led me to fish for all kinds of species, both nationally and internationally, and to master various techniques, both with the rod and at the vise.
Although I enjoy tying all kinds of flies for different species, my true passion lies in tying trout flies. I work with a wide variety of materials but always strive to create patterns that embody naturalness, delicacy, and, above all, a unique personality and sense of life. Tying small mayflies with antique silks and novel materials – combining the traditions of our Spanish ancestors with the cutting-edge innovations of modern fly tying – allows me to remain in constant evolution. I have developed my own distinctive tying style, always in pursuit of the perfect imitation.
Today, I can proudly say that my flies are in the boxes of some of the best anglers in Europe and are fished around the world, carrying a little piece of me to places I have always dreamed of. In those places, they manage to deceive some of the most selective fish – something that, for me, is both a great honor and an immense source of satisfaction.
