Travis Kelce's Friendship Bracelets Were a Sweet Nod to Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce is on a solo trip in Cannes, while his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has taken her Eras Tour to London—but even though the pair are covering fashion, celebrity news, and entertainment, it's clear that she's never far from his mind. While walking around the French city, the football player was seen sporting two friendship bracelets in a subtle sartorial nod to his popstar girlfriend. According to People, the bracelets read "Cannes" and "Fearless," in a cute reference to Swift's 2008 sophomore album of the same name. Kelce was reportedly given the two bracelets by a fan.

Friendship bracelets have become a staple for Swifties since the beginning of her Eras Tour last year. The singer included a line about friendship bracelets in her song "You're On Your Own, Kid" and since then, fans have been making and trading bracelets.

Kelce is only too familiar with the friendship bracelet ritual. In fact, it's how he and Swift first crossed paths. Back in July 2023, long before the pair had even met, Kelce mentioned on his podcast that he was sad he didn't get to meet Swift when he saw the Eras Tour. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said, “so I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

He added, “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets. I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.” Apparently, Swift heard about Kelce's bracelet through the grapevine and the pair eventually started dating.
