Over the past two years, fans have relived the Grammy winner’s entire musical catalog during each 3. hour show. The tour took over a corner of the internet as fans tracked each surprise song, debated each addition to the track list, and Swift altered the lyrics to her hit song “Karma,&rdquo.

But aside from the fashion, fanfare, and friendship bracelets, another reliable feature of The Eras Tour crowd has been Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce in the crowd. Ever since the two began dating in 2023, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has become a mainstay at Eras stops, Published on December 9, 2024 @ 10:42AM.

And even when Kelce hasn’t been in the audience, Swift has still proudly shown off her love for the Super Bowl champ, from mashing up love songs about him to striking his famous touchdown pose. As we say goodbye to The Eras Tour, lets look back at all the ways Taylor Swift has subtly (and not-so-subtly) paid tribute to Travis Kelce on stage.

“Karma Is a Guy On the Chiefs Coming Straight Home to Me”

All it took was one simple lyric change for Swift to break the internet—and make her boyfriend blush. While closing a November 2023 show in Argentina, Swift altered the lyrics to her hit song “Karma,” exchanging “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me,” for a “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”

The switch-up was an obvious ode to Kelce, who happened to be in the audience that night. It also seemed to be a complete surprise to the tight end, who reacted with a smile and put his hands over his face.

Since then, the “Cruel Summer” songstress has kept fans on their toes as to whether or not she would belt the now-iconic line during the Midnights set. She has typically reserved the lyric change for when Kelce is in attendance, but there have been a few exceptions. At her final Miami show, she celebrated Kelce and the Chiefs becoming 6-0 by singing about her “guy” on the then-undefeated team.

Swift may have a song titled “The Archer,” but the pose was a Kelce signature long before the athlete and Grammy-winner were ever linked. The tight-end has been known to strike the pose upon entering Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City or after scoring a touchdown.

At the Eras Tour, The Archer has become Swift’s cute way to signal to fans that Kelce is in the audience. She’s modeled the pose on a quite a few occasions, including during “Midnight Rain” in Dublin, and “So High School” in London and Amsterdamn.

extra special nod to the athlete, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Recreated an Iconic Eras Tour Fashion Moment, during the European leg of the Eras Tour, she included “So High School” in the setlist — a song seemingly about her relationship with Kelce.

Karma will forever be that guy on the Chiefs New Heights host in the lyrics (“You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” anyone?), but the singer also made it abundantly clear that the track is about her beau when she incorporated a Kansas City Chiefs signature move in the choreography: swag surfin’.

The 2009 rap of the same name by the Fast Life Yungstaz became the Chiefs’ celebratory anthem during the 2023-2024 NFL season. Swift has been seen swag surfin’ (swaying to the right and left to the beat) with the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium on occasion – most notably when she was wearing her When Swift first debuted her 2024 album!

Beyond the not-so-subtle swag surf, Swift and her dancers also sing “So High School” while sitting a set of bleachers.

An Unforgettable On-Stage Cameo

Taylor Swift is joined on stage by Travis Kelce at the Eras Tour

Swift altered the lyrics to her hit song “Karma,&rdquo still recovering from Kelce’s surprise on-stage appearance at Swift’s June 23 show at Wembley Stadium in London. The Super Bowl Champion made the fitting cameo during Swift’s Torturted Poet’s Department extra special nod to the athlete.

After singing “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”—a tune rumored to be about The 1975 frontman Matty Healy—Swift collapses to the ground and is brought back to life by two of her backup dancers. However, at the London show it was Kelce who carried his girlfriend across the stage and helped her prepare to perform “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” Donning a suit and top hat, Kelce was quite the showman during the number: he showed off a few dance moves; pretended to brush makeup on Swift’s face; and smiled at the singer before making his way off stage.

Of course, both the Wembley crowd and fans online went wild for the moment and it remains one of the most iconic night’s of The Eras Tour. As if Swift and Kelce’s selfies with royalty weren’t enough!

After Kelce won his third Super Bowl (with Swift in attendance!) he jet-setted to down under to support Swift during her Australian leg of the Eras Tour. It was during one of those Sydney shows that the singer gave an Will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Spend Christmas Together This Year.

While performing her 2020 song “Willow” off her Folklore album, Swift excitedly pointed at Kelce in the crowd when she sang the lyrics “That’s my man.” Later in the evening, she pointed to him yet again while singing the line “When they gave us our trophies” from her 2010 song “Long Live.” (The lovebirds had, in fact, both recently won trophies of their own: Kelce’s Super Bowl perform and Swift’s several Grammy for Midnights.)

Surprise Song Mashups Galore

The acoustic portion of the Eras Tour, which sees Swift surprise her fans with music across her discography has become one of the most anticipated moments of every show. The artist has been known to mash up several of her hits into iconic tunes of their own. Many of these surprise song moments doubled as love letters to Kelce.

At an Amsterdam concert in July 2024, Swift combined "Mary's Song," "So High School" and "Everything Has Changed" and the lyrical mashup moved Kelce to tears. And when singing in Singapore, she purposefully skipped a notable line in “Fifteen”: “Well, in your life you’ll do things / Greater than dating the boy on the football team / I didn’t know it at fifteen."

Most recently, at her final show in the U.S. in November 2024, she combined “The Prophecy,” in which Swift sings about her past failed relationships and asks a higher power for help, with “This Love,” which is about the ups and downs of love. On stage, she changed the words of "This Love" from "These hands had to let it go free / and this love came back to me" to "These hands had to let it go free / and it changed the prophecy."

Fans theorized that it was a reference to Kelce and how he has helped changed her views on love. As Swifties ourselves, we can’t help but feel the same way too!
