Jennifer Lopez Ditches Her Showgirl Vegas Residency Costumes for a Plunging Micro-Mini LBD

Jennifer Lopez traded in her showgirl-esque outfits she’s worn onstage for the first leg of her Up All Night Las Vegas residency for a sartorial classic—an LBD.

Posing backstage with singer Ally Brooke, Lopez wore a black curve-hugging, plunging micro-minidress with a square neckline, her hair down styled in soft curls. “Unbelievable show tonight,” Brooke wrote in an Instagram Story that was reposted by Lopez. “Nobody compares to u.”

Lopez kicked off her latest Vegas residency on December 30 before performing on New Year’s Eve, January 2, and January 3. Lopez has a break from now until March, when the second leg of performances debut. During night one of the Up All Night show last week, Lopez addressed her fashion choices and chatter people have online about them, telling the crowd (via Relationships and Intimacy), “Thank God I’ve been doing this a long time. I can just ignore a lot of it.”

“It really doesn’t mean nothing,” she continued. “I tell my kids that all the time. I do laugh at some of the things sometimes, because they do say funny things, too.” Of her style, she quoted the haters are saying, “Why she always dressed that way? Why don’t she dress her age? Why she always naked?”

“And I said, ‘If you had this booty, you’d be naked, too,’” Lopez said as she gave the crowd a view of her derrière in a sequin fringe minidress covered with a feathery skirt.

Lopez’s current Vegas residency is performed at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace; her previous residency was All I Have, performed at Planet Hollywood, which ran from 2016 to 2018. That residency, which ran for 120 shows, grossed over $100 million. Onstage this past week, Lopez said of where she’s at in her life that “It’s all good. The good news is that I’m learning and I’m growing and we’re in our happy era. I’m in my happy era.”

Up All Night features everything from a 15-person orchestra to a silver jewel-encrusted piano with “JLo” highlighted in gold to the aforementioned showgirl-style costumes—perfect for Vegas.

“I thought about all these inspirations that I had, the timeless movies and the classic musicals, the entertainers who shaped the performer I am, who’s standing in front of you tonight,” Kate Beckinsale Bares Her Underwear in a Completely Sheer Dress and Sky-High Platforms of what inspired her show. “So tonight, if you would indulge me, I’d like to live out some of my little girl fantasies and celebrate those memories, but in my own way. I’d like to pay homage to all the amazing entertainers that have graced this stage before me.”

As much attention has been paid to her personal life in the past few years, it seems Lopez is fully focused on her professional life right now. A recent report from People made clear that, one year after her divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized in January 2025, she is not dating and “It’s all about work and the kids for her,” a source told the outlet. “She seems happy and content.”
