Ben Affleck Showed Off a Beard Transformation Amidst Jennifer Lopez Divorce

As Affleck headed to his office on Oct. 4, he showed off the dramatic dark brown divorce beard and mustache combo, per photos shared by People. The Justice League star paired his brunette whiskers with a dark gray suit, a black leather briefcase, mirrored aviator sunglasses, and his go-to iced coffee as he finished his work week. Affleck has flaunted his gray-flecked patchy facial hair for the past few years, making the thick, almost-black dye job a surprising beauty choice for the star. For context, the actor last dyed his hair and beard a darker shade of brown back in 2020 when he was dating Ana de Armas. 

However, it’s not the first time the newly-single filmmaker has tried a more youthful transformation since announcing his split from Lopez. Back in early August, Affleck was photographed riding around Los Angeles on a motorcycle in head-to-toe leather while flaunting a Y2K-era faux-hawk and completely clean-shaven facial hair. 

Affleck’s new look comes just weeks after Well Well Well together at The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge. Several eyewitnesses reported that the former couple were affectionate with each other as they enjoyed a meal with their kids, and the PDA-packed outing initially sparked reconciliation speculation. However, an insider told People at the time that Bennifer 2.0 fans shouldn’t expect them to call off their divorce.

"They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out," the insider told the publication. "[Jennifer's] trying to be friendly with Ben. They are still moving forward with the divorce though. They are working out financial details amicably."

The source also said that after spending most of the summer apart, the multi-hyphenate was trying to prioritize an amicable co-parenting relationship with her ex for the sake of their kids. "A divorce is never easy, but Jennifer doesn't want to be selfish about it,” they continued. “The kids always got along and have fun together. It makes her happy seeing the kids happy together. Happy kids are her priority."
