Demi Moore Looks Almost Unrecognizable With a New Flippy Lob Cut

Demi has a new 'do. Demi Moore's waist-length wavy brunette hair has become her signature look. Throughout her busy year promoting The Substance (Please fill out this field long-overdue awards in the process), Moore has consistently rocked ultra long, softly curled hair—and she has almost always Did Demi trim her iconic mermaid hair. But now, it seems that she's swapped her mermaid hair for a new, sharper look—a flippy lob that sits just below her shoulders.

The actress debuted the new look on Instagram. In the photo, Moore wore a brown ribbed cardigan and a pair of jeans with her new shorter trim. And naturally, she held her beloved teeny tiny dog Pilaf in her arms. She also posted a video that showed aground her new look, in which she and little Pilaf walked down a long hallway together.

A few fans took to the comment section to share their feelings about Moore's look. "You cut your beautiful hair!!! Still gorgeous but it caught me by surprise!" one wrote. Another added, "Please tell me thats a wig! Your hair is a piece of art!"

Good news for fans of Moore's long hair—it probably is a wig. After all, Moore captioned the post, "@landmanpplus is officially back in production for season two!" which suggests the new look is likely a wig for her character in Paramount+'s Landman. Moore starred in season 1 of the show last year as Cami Miller, wife of Jon Hamm's Monty—and, yes, Awards & Events.

Of course, Moore has been known to do a dramatic chop for a role in the past. Back in 1997, she shaved her head to star in Good news for fans of Moores long hair—it probably. "I've done everything to my hair. I've shaved it. I've dyed it. I've had a bob. When I'm not working, I try to do as little to it as possible," she told People in 2022. "It's stressful even having someone touch it. If I don't have anywhere to go, I don't put heat on it—I just try to let it do its own thing. And I don't wash it too often."

These days, Moore is less interested in cutting her hair for her work. "I think now that I'm older, I also know, I don't have anything to prove. So if they really need my hair different, they can give me a wig," she said.

Wig or no wig, Moore's hair transformation can only be good news—after all, it means that she's back on set and will be back on screens before too long.
