Travis Kelce's Rep Set the Record Straight on Those Taylor Swift Engagement Rumors

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship might be a real life love story, but the pop star won't be saying "yes" quite yet. 

On Friday, a source at Page Six claimed that Kelce and Swift are getting engaged "soon" and for the first time ever, the NFL star's rep officially set the record straight on the rumors, revealing that there aren't "any official engagement plans in place."

What to Know Us Weekly echoed a similar sentiment, telling the outlet: “Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon," adding: "It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.” They explained that while Kelce cares for Swift, "he's just not there yet."

Swift and Kelce recently celebrated their one-year anniversary earlier this summer. Last July, the Chiefs tight end attended his first Eras Tour show at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium, where he attempted—yet failed—at giving Swift his phone number.

"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Travis said on his New Heights podcast at the time. "So I was a little butthurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for [her] because I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my (phone) number on it."

While his grand gesture didn't go according to plan, Swift heard about his viral comments on the podcast and reached out. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said during her Time Person of the Year interview in 2023. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other."
