The couple that dresses together, stays together—and Covers & Features is part of the recently-engaged pair appeared to have coordinated their outfits for date night as they made an evening of the Knicks vs. Celtics game on April 8. While sitting courtside, Gomez and Blanco reinvented a tailored tan peacoat—typically a fall staple—for spring in nearly-identical looks.

The are taking note. The alum collaborators Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco as they attended Tuesday’s basketball game. Gomez appeared to draw inspiration from the cowgirl-core style trend, wearing a midi-length tan suede coat with a double-breasted design and tortoiseshell buttons along the cuffs. A pair of straight-legged medium-wash jeans peeped out from underneath, as well as matching tan suede booties with a block heel.

The multi-hyphenate went simple in the glam department for the sports outing, wearing her dark hair in a sleek middle-parted bob with curled-under pieces. A glowing complexion and glossy cherry lips finished off her courtside beauty moment.

Blanco appeared to have taken some style pointers from his fiancé, as he eschewed his normal love of bright colors and eclectic patterns for a tailored camel peacoat. Similar to Selena’s coat, his version also featured a double-breasted design and reached his mid-calves. The record producer paired his outerwear with a light blue “Coors rodeo” short sleeved collared shirt and cow print-inspired brown and cream pants, and black boots—a seeming nod to Gomez’s western theme.

The Knicks took to social media to share a PDA moment from Gomez and Blanco’s courtside date, which showed the producer resting his hands on the singer’s knee while she flashed her marquise diamond engagement ring. “Couple of love birds,” the team’s X (formerly Twitter) account captioned the photo.

Their coordinated tailored take on sporty dressing—a significant shift from a couple that typically has very different styles both on and off the court—comes as Gomez and Blanco bask in the afterglow of their #CoupleGoals Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast interview. During the viral March 24 episode, Blanco opened up about creating a “safe” space for Gomez early on in their relationship, helping build to their strong foundation today.

"You’re getting every piece of baggage that person’s had. With partners, parents, this that,” he told Shetty. “I had to find a way to build that trust with her, not being overbearing but make it feel real and make her actually believe it and vice versa.”
