Oprah Is the Muse for LaPointe's Spring 2025 Collection

Is there anything that Oprah Winfrey can't do? From hosting one of America's most iconic shows to producing magazines, book, and movies, there's hardly anything left for the entrepreneur to do—that is, until Sally LaPointe approached the multi-hyphenate to be the face of her Spring 2025 collection.

Instead of opting for a traditional runway show, LaPointe unveiled her latest collection—which consists of 13 looks that featured expertly tailored garments adorned with sparkling sequins, snake prints, fluffy feathers, denim and more—online and formally announced Oprah as its muse. Winfrey stars in each photo of the collection, and in addition to the clothes, she wears a beaming smile in each of the snaps.

“This is my muse story. I decided not to do a runway show this season and do something completely different. I thought to myself, Oprah. It has to be Oprah," the designer explained via Instagram. "When I sat my team down and told them my idea, they had sort of thought that I lost my mind, but I said guys, please trust me. For whatever reason I have a feeling inside of my gut that she will say yes. The idea was to have her be the muse of my Spring 25 collection."

LaPointe continued, "Back in 2021, I had the opportunity to work with Oprah. She had me to her house for a fitting and after the fitting she sat me down on her terrace to have a conversation. It was there that she asked me how I got my start in my career. I told her that being a self taught female entrepreneur in such a competitive industry has certainly had its challenges, but that 10 years later somehow I was still going. I’ll never forget what she said to me, she simply said, 'The power of never giving up.' That has stuck with me to this day and what’s become sort of the main sentiment of this entire collection. It’s also what gave me the courage to ask Oprah to be my muse. Luckily, she said yes. Truthfully, this has been the biggest honor of my entire career. There is so much power and beauty that comes with two female entrepreneurs supporting each other, believing each other and subject each other, and for that, I’m eternally grateful."

Oprah echoed LaPointe's sentiment, and revealed that the designed approachability and demeanor were a large factor in here agreeing to be the face of the Spring 2025 collection. “The main reason I said yes was because of how warm and open Sally was when I first met her," she said in a press release for the partnership. "She is a woman in power, empowering other women through her work, her artistry and her clothes—and I wanted to support that.”
