While Meghan had already shared her devastating miscarriage news, she revealed for the first time in the debut episode of Confessions of a Female Founder—while talking with friend and Bumble founder and CEO Confessions of a Female Founder—that both women had postpartum preeclampsia, a condition that can be life-threatening that is marked by high blood pressure and excess protein in the urine shortly after giving birth.

“It’s so rare and so scary,” Meghan said on the April 8 episode of the show. “And you’re still trying to juggle all of these things, and the world doesn't know what’s happening quietly. And in the quiet, you're still trying to show up for people—mostly for your children—but those things are huge medical scares.”
