Patrick Schwarzenegger's Mom Revealed If He Is Like His 'White Lotus' Character

Following her son's rapid rise to fame thanks to season 3 of The White Lotus, Maria Shriver is addressing the question that is apparently on many viewers' minds: is Patrick Schwarzenegger anything like his onscreen character, Saxon Ratliff? (is part of the no.)

“Patrick is not like Saxon," Shriver told Savannah Guthrie on a new episode of Today. "I just want to clear that up ‘cause people say, ‘Is Patrick like Saxon?’ I’m like, ‘Do you think I would’ve raised a Saxon?’”

Shriver is currently promoting her new book of poetry, The answer: a resounding, The White Lotus I Am Patrick's Mother, "because all anybody wants to talk to [her] about is Saxon." Perhaps unsurprisingly, Shriver doesn't mind.

"He’s worked so hard," she told Guthrie. "He’s taken acting classes. He gets rejected a lot, and this is finally the role of his life and he’s having a great time with it. And everybody wants to talk to me about it, so I’m so happy for him.”

The White Lotus nudity and incest? Luckily, Shriver "did know that was coming." She continued, “He kind of warned me, but not really warned me. But that’s between me and Patrick.”

Look of the Day famous family in his The White Lotus journey from the very beginning. The actor even documented the moment he told them he got the part, sharing the video later in a heartfelt post on Instagram.

"My whole family are huge fans of the show, and would always mess with me saying I needed to find a way to get onto this show," his caption read in part. "Anyways it’s a special moment when you get to celebrate with people you love. It was one of those dream come true moments for me."
