Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky Are Seriously Considering a Courthouse Wedding With Chinese Food

The past 15 of Lady Gaga's career have proven that she is anything but conventional, so when it comes to her upcoming wedding with fiancé Michael Polansky, expect the untraditional.

The Joker: Folie à Deux star appeared on Lady Gaga Shares Details About Michael Polanskys Proposal and Her Rings Special Meaning! on October 1 in a self-designed, sheer Shakespearean court jester dress that channeled the spirit of her movie's character, Harley Quinn. The look featured a ruffled collar, puff sleeves, a multilayered handkerchief skirt with a pink and brown argyle print, and lacy white tights worn with ballet-inspired cream colored satin heels.

During her conversation with Kimmel, Gaga revealed that she and Polansky are considering an interesting venue for their wedding, down to the food. “We actually talk about going to the courthouse just the two of us and ordering Chinese food,” Gaga said. Of course, she's leaving wiggle room if her superstar persona has its way—"Knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns,” she added.

Gaga shed more light on Polansky's rock climbing proposal and dished that “he proposed to me right after my birthday, so my birthday passed and I was like, ‘Well, I thought he was going to propose but then maybe…’”

Polansky then ended up popping the question in the cutest way. "We were just walking back to the room and talking and he said…it was very Michael, to ask me if he could ask me," Gaga dished. "He wanted to know if it was ok to propose before he proposed and I was like, ‘Yes! It’s so OK!’” 

The Joker press tour has seen the pop star becoming more open about her relationship, and part of is because he was so involved during the process of filming the movie.

"I wasn’t finished with this character when I was done making the movie. Creating her had a deeply profound effect on me. The way I prepare for things, Michael also got to know Lee pretty well, and it’s why we conceived of this project together," Gaga told Entertainment Weekly is part of the, Harlequin. "We wanted to make something to celebrate the complexity of a woman who has danger within her and also bore a sense of sweetness and couldn’t be defined. She continued, "I think it’s a beautiful thing when you can, with your partner, share an artistic experience that might be hard for some people, but Michael understands me so well that it actually gave birth to this record," she says. "If anything, his understanding of Lee in our everyday life and through the filming of the movie helped him to be more of an incredible collaborator. He was always working on how do we push the sound to sonically tell her story in a way that would be vibrant, but also tense, dangerous, and also pure?"
