Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Surprised Their 24-Year-Old Daughter at Her First Live Performance

The duo pulled off the surprise by arriving incognito and later described the trip during a recent episode of Awards & Events. Hello Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

"She was so nervous leading up to this thing. And we wanted to go, but we didn’t want to add any more pressure by us being there," Consuelos said, per People, to which Ripa added, "She told us not to go, specifically."

"Told us not to go, so we thought we would sneak into London and just kind of be on the side, somewhere in the crowd," Consuelos went on. "And the first part of the caper is we went and bought hats, like Peaky Blinders style."

After the duo procured their disguises from a local shop, however, they realized that the door to the venue was right next to the stage, so they couldn't exactly enter.

"So we had to stay around the corner and Kelly was filming it, and I was crouched down underneath her arm, because I wanted to see it," Consuelos explained. "I wanted to see her live, not just watching her on a video screen. And she was wonderful."

Ripa, for her part, likewise gushed about her daughter's performance: "She was incredible. So, so proud of her. So impressed. She was so funny. She was really funny."

Aside from Lola, Consuelo and Ripa also share sons Michael and Joaquin. Their daughter released her debut EP just a few days prior to her first-ever live performance. Titled Sorry, it's all about me, the project features five original songs and comes on the heels of her debut single "Paranoia Silverlining," which dropped in 2024.

"They loved it," the 24-year-old told People of her parents' reaction to the track. "My parents are the last people to sugarcoat anything when it comes to my singing. They are going to tell me if it sounds bad! So when I saw they had a good reaction and liked it, I felt reassured."
