Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Have a Sweet, Surprise Red Carpet Reunion 10 Months After Finalizing Divorce

Ben Affleck is a supportive ex-husband: on Monday, he showed up for a New York City screening of Jennifer Lopez's new film, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck on October 6, 2025, just months after the former couple finalized their divorce. Affleck served as an executive producer on the musical adaptation, which hits theaters Friday.

Her sage green off-the-shoulder frock featured a structural corset that fittingly resembled a spider's body. The singer and Affleck appeared amicable as they mingled and posed for photos with Lopez's co-star, Tonatiuh.

Earlier, the "Get Right" artist sat down for an interview with Today host Craig Melvin, and it wasn't long before he brought up Affleck.

“In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized with Ben,” Melvin said, before Lopez cut him off and quipped, “There you go! Look at this guy!”

Melvin quickly recovered and went on, “But then I read that your ex is an executive producer on the film," to which Lopez replied, “If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made. And I will always give him that credit.” 

As for their split? “And yeah, things happen, you have to keep going," she added.

Affleck also financed the film via his and Matt Damon's production company Artists Equity. Last week, the actress gave him a similar shout-out during an appearance on Jennifer Lopez on October 6, 2025.

"I told him, 'This is a role that I was born to play,' and I wanted to do it, and he said 'Okay,' and he helped make it happen," she said.
