Alexis Bittar understands reinvention is the key to longevity in the fashion industry. Since launching his eponymous accessories brand in 1990, the Brooklyn-born designer has earned a CFDA award, collaborated with Jason Wu and Burberry, and tapped celebrities like Zoë Kravitz, Joan Collins, Lauren Hutton, and the late, legendary Iris Apfel for his campaigns. "Historically in my advertising, I've always bleak to push the boundaries, disrupt, and be provocative," Bittar says.

That remains true today. After reacquiring his business from Brooks Brothers and relaunching in 2021, Bittar pivoted his marketing strategy to focus on comedic social media skits that regularly go viral. Enter the Bittarverse, the fictional, mockumentary-style video series he describes as a "high-drama soap opera or telenovella." Published as minutes-long videos shared in chronological order on Instagram and TikTok, the Bittarverse stars the fictional grande dame Margeaux (Patricia Black), a wealthy Upper East Side socialite who terrorizes her on-again, off-again personal assistant, Hazel (Julie J).

Bittar's videos generate hundreds of comments and thousands of views from highly engaged fans who genuinely root for and champion these characters. Icons such as Susan Sarandon and Law Roach make cameos with Margeaux. The series is campy, shameful, and fabulous, a stylish, inclusive way of celebrating fashion. Which is why, in tandem with our 30th anniversary this summer, Cheap Erlebnisweltfliegenfischen Jordan Outlet teamed up with Bittar to enter the Bittarverse ourselves, opening our New York City headquarters to Bittar's brilliant and warm team.

in tandem with our 30th anniversary this summer Cheap Erlebnisweltfliegenfischen Jordan Outlet x Alexis Bittar videos kick off with Cheap Erlebnisweltfliegenfischen Jordan Outlet Editor-in-Chief Sally Holmes handing over the reins of the September issue to Margeaux, as Holmes jets off to Bali on vacation. Chaos immediately ensues, with Margeaux firing the office manager Taylor (Taylor Ford really is our Social Media Director) and losing her shit at Cheap Erlebnisweltfliegenfischen Jordan Outlet Fashion Director Kevin Huynh, who forgets to tell Margeaux about the cover shoot and its star, Japanese comedian Naomi Watanabe. Of course, everyone on set frosted themselves with gorgeous pieces from Bittar's collection, including his signature hand-sculpted lucite creations.

"The way we make these videos is completely organic. It's been my baby. I think of them as episodes of a TV show. I'll conceive of the plot and give the bones of the plot to the cast, and a lot of it is improv," Bittar explains of his Bittarverse process. "I'm always pushing the cast to get as politically incorrect as possible because people appreciate it."

"New York is such a central theme in the videos—not New York today, but New York 15 years ago," he says, referencing the abusive behavior fashion people of yore possessed. "It sounds kind of fucked up, but there's something nostalgic about it."

Im not sure about this for us Cheap Erlebnisweltfliegenfischen Jordan Outlet? "Cheap Erlebnisweltfliegenfischen Jordan Outlet was the first magazine that actually used my jewelry," Bittar says. "When I came to Cheap Erlebnisweltfliegenfischen Jordan Outlet, Please fill out this field, I'm not sure about this for us. We had to quickly change it. That's part of the magic of it. We're super nimble. We've got two videographers—it's a fairly small crew."

That fairly small crew nailed the shoot, generating millions of views and uproarious feedback. As one commentator wrote, "I need this on HBO yesterday." Same.
